Join Squeaky Wheel Pottery under the tent outside our shop during downtown Hastings’ biggest summer festival! We’ll be set up with a tent on Sibley Street, right in front of our studio.
🎨 Kids Claytime: Let’s Paint This Town!
Friday 12–4 PM • Saturday 10–2 PM
🖌️ Help us “PAINT THIS TOWN”, one clay brush at a time! Kids can create their own oversized ceramic paint brushes, customized with your name, texture, color, and personality and unique bristles, colors, and styles.
This is a drop-in activity —perfect for kids of all ages. No registration required. Cost: $15/per project
✨ Whether it’s a solo masterpiece or part of a sibling-made wind chime, these keepsakes are perfect for hanging in a summer cabin, art nook or your craft room door!
🌀 Live Pottery Wheel Demos
Friday 12–4 PM • Saturday 10–2 PM
Watch clay come to life right before your eyes! Stop by our tent for live pottery wheel demos and watch the magic of clay come to life in real time as our potters throw all kinds of pottery outside on the wheel. It’s mesmerizing, meditative, and just plain cool to watch. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself stuck in a pottery trance!

OPEN STUDIO EVENT: Paint Holiday Ornaments
Join us for a fun holiday activity during our Small Business Saturday and Holiday Hoopla event in Downtown Hastings on November 25th! Holidays are a perfect time to make memories, so bring Grandma, bring the cousins or bring a friend and paint (underglaze) Christmas ornaments with us! Choose from 5 different shapes.
$10/per ornament. Paint as many as you like! All ornaments will be fired and ready for pick up a few weeks later.
No registration required! Ages 3 - 103! Everyone is welcome!
